Traveling Party of Four
Welcome to Traveling Party of Four. I am so happy you are here and ready to embark on the journey of a lifetime (or just a weekend trek) with your family.
My mission is to help moms plan travel with confidence by providing travel planning resources and information, health and wellness guides, and lots of checklists.
Moms struggle with traveling with kids for many reasons.
- The worry.
- Lack of confidence.
- Where do I even start?
- Is it worth the effort?
- Are they going to remember?
A significant part of traveling confidently with your family is staying safe and healthy. Here are important topics to read before venturing off into the world.

Travel planning can be a chore; it takes time and can become overwhelming.
But it should be exciting and fun. With tools, resources, and knowledge, you can travel plan like a champion and show your kids the world. Plus, as a bonus, you get to continue to see the world, too.
My dream was to create a place where our family could upload travel photos, and reminisce about our experiences; something the kids could have forever. Thus, Traveling Party of Four was born, beginning in 2017 as a virtual family scrapbook.
Fast forward to the Present
As you can see, Traveling Party of Four has matured into much more; an informative and inspiring family travel blog with some teaching tossed in the mix for you.
A Little Bit About Us
We are a family of four (well six if you include the pup and the horse), including two children who are thirteen and fifteen years old. My daughter plays basketball and softball for her Catholic High School team and rides her horse in her spare time. My son is a basketball player as well. He has played other sports, including baseball and football but has decided that basketball is his first love.
My husband, Andy, is a physician and one of the hardest working men I know. He is dedicated to his career but also loves to take time off to go home to Puerto Rico, and to travel to bucket-list destinations with our family. When the kids were younger, we spent most vacations with my family on the East coast of Florida, or with his family in Puerto Rico. Now that they are older, we have started to venture out and explore other family-friendly travel destinations.
I recently stepped away from a 25-year career as an Oncology Nurse Practitioner. I was inspired daily by the strength, courage, and overall spirit and zest for life of each person I was honored to care for. I was entrusted with helping patients and families through the fear of treatment, the joy of remission, and sometimes the peaceful and dignified ending of a long fight. The experience is like no other, and is why Oncology Nursing is so special.
My focus has shifted to my family, providing them with a healthy and peaceful life full of fond memories and love.
I am a planner, and I love to research a destination and make lots of checklists (which I also share with you in the blog). The entire process of planning family travel fascinates me; from deciding on a place to go, to researching food and attractions, to planning travel day.
A proud mom moment is when my kids do their own research and tell me what they want to do.
You can’t beat that.
I know it is scary to embark on a journey with your children far away from the comforts of home. If you stick with me, you will learn how to travel safely and confidently while showing your children the beauty of our world.
